Description: Lanzhou University is a national comprehensive university under the direct authority of the Ministry of Education, China. Guided by the strategic goals as “developing the northwest region” and “establishing strategic base”, it has grown into an universities with strategic significance, embarking on the historic mission of training high-level talents for the country, especially in the west region of China, and developing science, technology and culture. Lanzhou University aims to enhance talent cultivation, spur scientific innovation and society service, and boost international cooperation. It has 8 national key disciplines, 2 national key (cultivation) disciplines, 35 provincial key disciplines and 3 provincial key (cultivation) disciplines. Lanzhou University is among the first universities to establish a postdoctoral research mobile station and national education bases for fundamental scientific research and teaching liberal arts and science, as well as the first universities to be selected in the National Undergraduate Innovative Test Program. Lanzhou University has established academic cooperation with 189 universities of scientific institutions from 40 foreign countries around the world.
